The fun competition for serious dancers
We held the first Official USA Tango Championship in 2007 and our winners entered and were finalists in the Mundial Campeonato in Buenos Aires. To our knowledge were the first Championship with an Amateur Salon category.
The championship will be interspersed with the Celebrate Tango Show featuring....

Open to all levels of social dancers. Amateurs only NO Professionals. Have fun, get your feet wet, show off?
1ST place - Trophy, Medals & Open Salon entry.
2ND place - Medals
3RD place - Medals
Open Salon Category
Open to all levels of dancers, Amateurs and Professionals in any combination i.e. a teacher can enter with a student. Perfect for dancers who love Tango, but don't want to be performers.
1ST place - $1000 Cash, Medals and a Trophy.
2ND place - $ 350 Cash & Medals
3RD place - $ 250 Cash & Medals
Stage Category
Open to all levels of dancers, Amateurs and Professionals in any combination i.e. a teacher can enter with a student. If you love performance tango, secretly dream of being on Camera or a Stage, or your dancing includes ganchos, leaps, and trepadas, you should sign up for the stage.
1ST place - $800 Cash, Medals and a Trophy.
2ND place - $250 Cash & Medals
3RD place - $150 Cash & Medals
