Cigdem Tanik 'Ciko'

Ciko has been working as a DJ for many years, since she has been running weekly events in New York City. She has travelled the US, Europe and Argentina extensively. Those years of travel have given her opportunities to learn and work with popular figures in Tango and allowed her to get familiar with tango music history and understand the variety that exists and she uses that knowledge to help her DJ a dynamic night. She runs a weekly and monthly milonga in NYC with her partner Adam Hoopengardner and often teaches at popular festivals around the country. Traveling and being exposed to different communities with different backgrounds and levels and needs has also increased her perception to what the event requires.
